The Jungle has won UK award for Best Family Entertainment Centre
Owner, Sarah Lott commented. "We're overjoyed to win this industry award". "It's a testament to all the hard work over the last 4 years by all our team members and managers to ensure that we have stuck to our original goals to ensure that customer service levels, quality of food, play equipment and cleanliness never falters and is continually improved". |
If we carry on living as we are, 9 out of 10 kids are set to grow up with dangerous levels of fat in their bodies. This can cause life-threatening diseases like cancer, type 2 diabetes and heart disease. Which is why it’s really important that we all get together to do something about it today. Did you know that a typical visit to an indoor play centre provides double your child’s recommended daily activity levels? The true benefit of indoor play however, is that it is “Exercise in Disguise” so your children don’t even realise that they are exercising. It’s play at their own pace and in a safe environment. Play4Life is a nationwide movement which aims to help us all,but especially our kids, eat well, move more and live longer. Active kids are happy kids – they like to be up and about, running around and having fun. The trouble is, in this modern world they’ve got other things to do and plenty of reasons not to go and let off steam and run around. A visit to The Jungle solves this problem. Your child is probably working at around 70% of their maximum heart rate and is using all their muscle groups to develop movement skills and co-ordination. Do they realise this when they are sliding down the slide or climbing in the play frame??? No – kids are just having great fun and that is the beauty of “Exercise in Disguise”. Get your family involved in Play4Life today and Eat Well, Move More and Live Longer. |

August 2009 - Bad Weather needn't be bad news |
|
Bad weather shouldn’t stop children from exercising, says the Play Providers Association in response to the Department for Children, Schools and Families announcement last night that rain was to blame for inactive kids this summer. Despite parents’ hopes of an outdoor summer holiday being dashed this week, and further predictions that one in three days will be lost to rain this August*, the Play Providers Association (PPA) is urging parents to resume play by taking their children to one of many high quality indoor play areas across the UK |
